Fall gives New Englanders the opportunity to look at things we often take for granted in a new light! Trees begin to stop us in our path with beautiful foliage and dairy farms turn into autumn wonderlands.
All year long we can thank dairy farms for helping to preserve the open spaces we
know and love in our region, but in the fall, these farms are especially stunning.
My favorite part about this time of year is how several New England dairy farms open their doors to the public for age-old traditions like pumpkin picking and successfully conquering a corn maze,
New England dairy farms make for a quintessential trip this time of year with fields filled with pumpkins, barns stocked with all things apple, and live animals onsite. No matter your age – heading to a corn maze is a yearly rite of passage for New Englanders. When I was growing up, visiting farms to tackle the corn maze with my family was always a fun adventure!
Percy Farm is the perfect day trip for leaf-peeping because the farm is located in beautiful foliage-lined Stowe, Vermont. This farm has every New England family-fun activity – a corn maze, baby goats and calves to feed, and unique scarecrows. Visitors can purchase some sugar-shack-made Percy family maple syrup too!
Crescent Farm | 140 Willow Avenue, Bradford, MA
Cresent Farm is home to a 15 acre corn maze that takes teamwork and memory skills. While the maze is open for family-fun all week long, grab your friends Friday through Sunday evening for the Starlight Maze – just be sure to bring your own flashlight! The last day to visit this season is October 31st.
Escobar’s Highland Farm Corn Maze | 255 Middle Rd, Portsmouth, RI
Escobar’s Highland Farm corn maze covers 8 acres. Visitors can pick a fresh pumpkin from the patch to carve a spooky jack-o-lantern – dressing their doorstep with Halloween flair! Hayride tours of the dairy farm are available on weekends for just $4. Escobar’s Highland farm corn maze is cash only and runs through November 3rd.
If you’ve already conquered the above corn mazes and are looking for more, our crew previously created a list of some of our favorite corn mazes in Connecticut. You can view our roundup of Connecticut corn mazes post here.
We hope this post inspired you to call up your crew and pile into the car this weekend for a corn maze run. I promise it’s one of the most fun seasonal activities New England has to offer. Plus, the weather is too gorgeous this time of year to stay inside!
Leave a comment below if you have a corn maze we need to add to our list! Your suggestions are always appreciated.

I love to tackle a good corn maze! I recommend The Great Vermont Corn Maze in Danville, VT for a serious challenge and Holmberg Orchard in Gales Ferry does fun one where you find your wine tasting throughout the maze.
I think a fun little trip is in my future this fall to one of these adorable farms!! I love this post, and need to make it to all of them, aha! Happy finally fall, Aubrey!! 🙂
