Everyone’s favorite New England season has finally arrived! While fall doesn’t officially start for a couple of weeks – the sun has begun to set earlier and the leaves are already showing their brilliant colors.
If you follow me on Instagram you know I embrace autumn in my feed as soon as September drops. Well, that same rule applies to my home decor! When it came to this season, I started by breaking out the wicker baskets, fabric pumpkins, and lanterns I purchased from Christmas Tree Shops last year. I wanted to add some more items to my fall decor, so I headed to the Christmas Tree Shops to see their new seasonal goodies!
Upon my arrival, Christmas Tree Shops didn’t disappoint! They had an array of fall home decor pieces to pick from harvest-themed to Halloween. Throwing a Halloween party is on my bucket list, so I decided to go ahead and stock up on all things Halloween-themed that I felt fit in fa-BOO-lous-ly with my home.
Christmas Tree Shops had a bunch of classicly spooky Halloween items. But, I felt their Haunted Hayride-themed line of items really fit in with my kitchen. Pictured above you’ll see the Haunted Hayride-themed dish towel, sign, and cookie jar.
Christmas Tree Shops also had lots of Halloween signs to select from. Such as classic and understated – like my style! – or plain out SPOOKY! Personally, I’m not one to hang signage within my home. I always lean towards smaller signs that I can lean up against the windowsill like the cat silhouettes showcased below.
Speaking of decorations, I’m really curious if you guys like to decorate for just fall, just Halloween, or for both? I’ve always been one to decorate my home with mums and pumpkins for fall and Halloween. But, I always leaned on the side of fall – nothing was ever haunted or spooky. So this year, I really wanted to decorate for both!
To do this, I still incorporated the pumpkins I’ve used in the past but added touches of Halloween to the set-up. For instance, adding a cinnamon broom to my counter – I stocked up on a few because they were under $2.00. It not only looks cute but keeps my kitchen smelling just like autumn. I added touches of candy corn to complement the orange seen in the pumpkins. I incorporated touches of black with a Salem witch-themed candle, a black skull candle, and this cardboard haunted house that lights up! And I also added a spooky touch to the kitchen by throwing some orange and black pillows on our stools. Christmas Tree Shops had so many seasonal pillows to choose from – all the fall things or spooky Halloween!
Whether you’re decorating your home for Halloween, fall, family, or some Spooktacular Festivities, it’s so fun to embrace the colors of the season! I hope this post inspired you to have a little fun this fall with your home decor and to try something new.
