Let’s get real for a minute & talk about everyday attire.
Okay there is no way to look spot on everyday (it’s just a fact).
& it’s also completely impossible if you’re in college & have to walk across campus on the hottest of hottest days (now that’s just rough).
Yet there are a few simple things in your wardrobe that can take simple everyday attire, up a notch.
(whoop whoop!)
Okay… the secret is elegant but subtle statement shirts.
& by subtle I mean nothing see-through, low-cut, or crop-top…I am not talking that kind of statement.
But rather tops with simple beadings, unique patterns, or statement colors.Think elegant & simple like a Kate Spade meets Serena Van der Woodsen kind of look.
& one of my favorite Kate Spade meets Serena Van der Woodsen kind of look, is an elegant top with super casual shorts.
By mixing & matching your formal & casual clothes…you end up with an outfit that 1) looks spot on. 2) doesn’t look like you’re trying, that hard & 3) generally is darn comfy!!!
( & isn’t that the most important detail of all)!
So, To help you guys envision this Go-To-Campus-Style. I pulled some must have tops to rock this look…
Elegantly Casual Look!
J.Crew Factory // Here. Here. Here {!!!}
Anthropologie // Here & Here. {!!!!}
Lilly Pulitzer // Here &. Here. {!!!}
& just by putting on a cute shirt & some comfy shoes…you instantly take your everyday casual (blahh & boring) clothes, to a Gossip Girl worthy status.
& who doesn’t want to look great, in an everyday kind of way!
Weirdly enough casual perfection is a style that is so relevant today: aka: flannel shirts, leggings & the “messy bun” {which obviously took me 20 min to make}.
Anyways… the weekend is coming up so hold in there & fake it till ya make it!
