Last weekend the Sheraton Boston Hotel hosted Matt & I for the weekend and well, it was amazing to say the least. I’m going to give you guys a breakdown of everything we saw and everywhere we shopped (duh). So let’s jump into it!
WHERE WE STAYED:
As I said earlier the Sheraton Boston Hotel hosted us for the weekend and we enjoyed every aspect of their hotel. My favorite part though, would have to be the view! The image above was captured straight out of my hotel room; if you follow me on snapchat (aubreyrose740) then you know how obsessed I am with this view. I’ve stayed at several Boston hotels but none of them had a view close to this one. The view alone kicked the weekend off on a great foot.
The hotel workers go out of their way to cater to their customers. They left some champagne and a lovely New England themed gift-bag in the room to surprise Matt & I. And boy were we surprised. We were beyond impressed with the hotel’s amenities, hospitality and bustling energy.
The Sheraton’s Perfect Location:
The Sheraton was in the perfect location! It is located in the middle of downtown Boston & is just a 3 minute walk from Newbury Street (perfect). As you may have guessed Newbury Street is one of my favorite places to visit, so I loved being a 3 minuet walk away. Overall Matt & I loved how easy it was to hit the shops on Newbury, run back to the hotel, drop off our goodies and head back out again.
The hotel’s location made exploring the city so easy.
Next Matt & I decided to explore the Beacon Hill section of Boston & let me tell you, it was well worth it. I literally fell in love with Beacon Hill! I just loved the atmosphere so much, soooooo I’m giving it it’s own section…
BEACON HILL:
The Beacon Hill region is about a 1 mile walk from the hotel, which was perfect with the beautiful weather we had that day. It was honestly 58 degrees, which is unheard of in February, but hey I’ll take it. On our walk over to Beacon Hill we stopped and listened to all the amazing street performers sharing their talents & even prolonged our walk in the park, to take in the beautiful day. After walking circles in Boston Common and sending many snapchats, we arrived at Charles St. & allowed the photograph and shopping to commence.
Matt & I walked the brick streets of this charming Boston region & took in every unique shop. One of my favorite shops I looked at was, Flat of the Hill. It had so many cute products and was just filled to the brim with great gift items. Charles Street has everything, from fashion forward clothing at Crush to a shop called Fastachi, which was a nut gift shop and let me tell you, it smelt like heaven.
Overall we spent the whole day taking pictures of Beacon Hill flats and just exploring. I honestly couldn’t tell which home was my favorite, each one had it’s own character and I basically wanted to live in them all.
So 5 0’clock rolled in and Matt & I realized we were starving, we always do this to ourselves when traveling. Before we got super hangry, we just decided to walk into the closest restaurant, which worked out perfectly.
We ate at The Paramount and grabbed some great American comfort food. We both got a cheeseburger with extra crunchy fries on the side, my ideal date food. If you are looking for an affordable, quick but super good place to eat, The Paramount is for you.
So we finished our night by walking back towards Newbury, we may have taken a much needed stop at Georgetown cupcakes & then headed back to The Sheraton, for a late night swim.
On Sunday, The Sheraton surprised Matt & I with the best breakfast! We opened our doors to two amazing spinach omelets, hash browns (my favorite), muffins & croissants (which of course I couldn’t resist), along with some delicious yogurt. Matt & I turned on the TV, snuggled into bed and ate our hearts out.
The Sheraton Team also surprised us with my favorite Starbucks drink, I’m a big believer in ‘the little things’ and this attention to detail just made me so happy.
Before heading home to Connecticut Matt & I wrapped up our visit at The Sheraton hotel with a trip to The Green Tangerine spa.
Matt got a deep tissue massage, which he claims was perfection and I got a 60 minute facial. I have to admit this was my first facial ever, I usually get massages but I figured why not step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
Oh boy, big mistake because I’m now addicted to facials. Cintia, gave me the best facial. She was so sweet and answered all of my questions. I’m a big chatter whenever I get any spa treatments, I love to pick the esthetician’s brain because they know their skincare stuff!
Cintia was so kind and explained to me the importance of facials, how often you should get them and what they do for your skin longterm. After spending an hour with her, I’m a 100% on the facial bandwagon. I’m dying to share this new love of facials with my sister Sarah, I know she would love them! It was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had and I’m not just saying that. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming, it was great.
Finally I finished up the day with a blowout, as Matt & I were heading to a country concert that night. Brenna did my hair & as you can see, it came out perfect. I’m all about loose wavy curls, I love the texture they add to your hair. She was so kind and I loved chatting with her about her favorite New England locations. She recommended a summer weekend trip to Maine, and I kind of fell in love with the idea.
Final Thoughts:
Overall I’m a big believer in weekend trips, especially in New England. It’s really important to get out of your everyday routine and go out & really see what your surrounding cities have to offer. New Englanders are so lucky because we have sooooo many unique cities and towns to explore. However I’ve always loved visiting Boston, but I especially loved this trip. I can’t wait to head back to beantown, especially in the spring/summer. xx A.

I love Boston! I’m a massive Bruins fan so I try to go to Boston as many times as possible during the year. My favorite hotel is definitely the Omni Parker House – check it out! I love shopping on Beacon Hill. I spy Valentino 😉
Glad you had fun! You look great!
