This weekend was perfect! It wasn’t like Matt and I did anything too crazy, but I love exploring the different districts of cities.
If you’ve been a longtime reader of TCC then you know that I went to college in San Diego, which has some amazing districts all with a distinct culture. There is La Jolla, Hillcrest, Downtown, North Park and Bird Rock; all unique districts with their own ‘things’. Each have a killer coffee shop, home decor store and a food truck you can’t pass up.
Basically what I’m trying to say is that exploring districts in San Diego was how I truly began to feel like a San Diegan and really understood it’s ins & outs. So when Matt & I moved to Dallas, I made it a point to really explore it’s districts.
So on Saturday, Matt & I woke up early and headed down to The Grove in the Harwood District, and let’s just say, I LOVED IT!
I’ve been really loving this gingham skirt this season, not to mention it’s only $79.00 but what I’ve been wearing constantly is this X Jewellery Bronze Bracelet. I love the classic linked style and all the fun colors it comes in, like the blue one I’m wearing below.
I’m not great at switching out my jewelry so having pieces that basically go with everything in my closet is essential. Is anyone else the same way?
Anway, The Grove in the Harwood district is a really young, vibrant and exciting place. The music was a combination of retro rock, greatest dance hits, and some oldies but goodies; think brown eyed girl, cheeseburger in paradise and turn the page.
The gals were all in cute dresses, sun tanning and sipping on multiple snow cones while the guys were playing beach volleyball in bathing suits; mind you this was all in the heart of Dallas.
The whole experience reminded me of San Diego. Snow cones, street tacos and beach volleyball that basically sums up a typical Saturday in San Diego. Anyway between finally getting to showcase my new X Jewellery Bronze Bracelet to my friends and eating about two snow cones and three tacos, it was a pretty perfect weekend.
I’d love to hear about your weekend and how you’re accessorising for spring below! xx Aubrey.
