Exploring historic downtowns will always be my go to weekend activity. When I’m in CT I love driving to different towns and taking in the colonial homes, but with the warmer weather here in Dallas Matt and I have made it a point to walk around the different historical downtowns outside of Dallas.
Most of the historic downtowns are built around 1940 and scream that old fashion soda pop shop, grease lighting, retro vibe. I shared bits and pieces of the historic downtown of Grapevine on Saturday via snapchat and so many of you asked for my outfit of the day details, so here it is.
Off the shoulder isn’t my favorite trend, to be honest, I often find myself fidgeting with the sleeves, and I basically gave up on the trend until I tried on this shirt. The fit on this knot tie blouse is impeccable, it’s tied in the front and long in the back…basically shirt goals.
I paired this knot tie blouse with my new favorite necklace! I grabbed it at J.Crew Factory for a steal and I believe it’s currently 50% off. I’ve been wearing it with everything, off the shoulder shirts, white tees and even polos.
Finally I finished off the look with these Mott & Bow stretchy jeans. They are comfortable and affordable, so if you are in the market for a new pair of jeans, check them out.
While walking around Matt & I stopped by a farmers market and stocked up on a few healthy essentials, as we are trying to eat healthy for an upcoming trip. We actually leave for Aruba with my family on Sunday, however I ate three bagels today along with our healthy options, oops.
Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying the first moments of April it’s starting to get me pumped for New England’s summer. I think a trip home is in my future, possibly for my birthday? Who knows. & the fact that I’m planning trips in June is scary, where has 2017 gone!
Do you guys have any spring travel plans coming up? I’d love travel suggestions from you guys 🙂 xx Aubrey
