Today marks the first long weekend of summer 2017, and we all know what that means ROAD TRIPS!
One of my favorite perks when it comes to living in New England is how easy it is to get in the car and go. Every weekend I would find myself just getting in the car and going, which has officially made me the best at road trips!
I kid, I kid, I actually think all New Englanders are good at road trips because we just take so many of them, it’s so easy for us to just zip up to Boston or East to Newport. We are so lucky to be able to explore different regions so easily, and on such relaxing roads, nothing was worse than road tripping in California, due to the traffic. So be grateful guys.
Anyway, this weekend my family drove down to Niantic on 161 and of course, you have to make a pit-stop for hot dogs. Whether you’re traveling by boat, roof down on Route 1 or by bike; CT has a hot dog stand ready to explore.
I’ll admit they don’t always look the nicest, but they taste darn good. So here are some of my favorite hot dog stands in CT!
5 Best Hot Dog Stands in Connecticut:
1. Guida’s Resturant – Middlefield
4. Weiners on the Water – Connecticut River, East Haddam hot dog boat
If you’ve been to any of the above drive-ins let me know, I’d love to hear which one is your favorite. & if you live in CT and have your own favorite hot dog spot, PLEASE SHARE. Just jot it down in the comments below, Matt & I love test tasting new joints.
Happy Memorial Day! xx Aubrey.

Thanks for the recommendations! I need to do more Hot Dog exploring in CT. My fav hot dog places in CT are Blackies in Cheshire and Frankies Hot Dogs with multiple locations! Cant do summer without Hot dogs!
I live inMiddletown and definitely agree with 1 and 3! I’ll have to try #2 since I work in Portland!
