The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is basically the best sale!!!!

& I hope you guys are ready! I spent all of yesterday clearing out my closet with my sister Tessa, in order to make room for some of these new items! 

I figured I would make a post, breaking down alllllllll you need to know, about the sale! Okay let’s jump right into it:

When & What

When can I shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale: EARLY ACCESS FOR NORDSTROM CARD HOLDERS BEGINS ON JULY 14th!  THE SALE OPENS TO THE PUBLIC ON THE 22ND. Of course you can shop the sale in store or online! I prefer online, I usually fill my cart with items, sleep on it and the next day go back and weed out any ‘blah’ items. This strategy helps me purchase in moderation.

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Every year Nordstrom holds a Anniversary Sale which includes designer items at a hugely discounted price!  Also the sale is mostly focused on FALL items soooo you can reboot your entire fall wardrobe, at a discounted rate, before the season even starts! AMAZING.

Shopping Strategy

Online shopping and Anniverary Sales can trick you into spending WAYYYY more than you need to, soooooo my number one advice is SET A BUDGET!

The Finance Major inside of me is coming out on this one, but do not overspend! Please! I tend to do this on sales and it totally defeats the purpose of saving money and shopping the sale.

 Below I’ve listed some ways to help you save during the sale:

1) Set a budget & stick to it

2) Sleep on it before you purchase

3) Take inventory before the sale & see what you need (this is an important one guys, go through your closet and see what you need).

Invest in the Basics 

The sale is the ideal time to stock up on fall essentials! I’ve listed the five items I usually grab at the sale below:

• think rain boots, black boots & of course booties
• a good pair of jeans,
• basic tees & sweaters
• and of course those designer bags
• Nike sneakers & workout gear (for under $25)!
