Draper James Dress || Shoes (old, similar listed) || Bag || Lipstick || Draper James Coffee Table Book (currently obsessed so I had to include it!).
The other day I wrote a post about fit over size and got sooooo many loving responses. I got a few emails about the post and one TCC reader specifically asked me, what my go to ‘confident’ color was.
& I honestly didn’t even have to think about an answer, I automatically said GREEN.
Green is my go to power color, and I was pumped when I heard green was the thing for spring 2017! I was honestly over the moon guys.
To be completely honest with you all, I only wear my green numbers on special occasions. I bought my first green dress when I was going into an interview for my dream college (didn’t get in, but the dress was totally worth the experience).
I purchased my second green dress for sorority rush, that time I did get in & the dress is still a classic and finally, I picked out this green Draper James dress for my blogging go get her days. I like to call it my hustle and bustle attire. I just loved the dianty floral details, it’s really on trend for this year as florals are EVERYWHERE.
Green is my uniform when it comes to hustling and making those moves, as they say.
There’s just something about the color, that makes me feel confident in green!
Overall, I don’t wear that much color. I love blues but outside of that my wardrobe is filled with whites, browns, nudes and a row of green dresses.
Kind of random, but has anyone seen the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic? Okay in the movie when she’s talking to the mannequin about being ‘the girl in the green scarf’ well that’s kind of how I feel when I wear green, unstoppable.
And here is the clip from the movie, if you have no idea what I’m talking about. Guys, that is one of my favorite movies, so underrated.
Anyway another reason why I love my green dresses is because so far each one has represented a specific time in my life. Before college, during and after. Each different in style and each a classic dress, that I still wear today. I’d love to hear what color you guys feel most confident in, let me know below!
