The “90’s flannel” is back in & highly trending.

I am 100% behind this East Coast & West Coast flannel movement; & you guys should be too.

The reason why flannel is so great (besides being comfy) is the fact that you can bring your own spin to the “flannel trend”.

Above I showed off my “cultural experience” with how East Coast & West Coast interpret flannel.

So let me break it down for you guys…

East Coast Fashionistas:

Ralph Lauren, the head honcho in the Preppy East Coast fashion world, took a preppy & classy approach to flannel. They paired a flannel shirt with a statement jacket & glamours boots.

This outfit is classically put together & screams Manhattan lifestyle. I could totally imagine myself strutting this outfit through NYC.

Literally, Ralph Lauren is always ahead when it comes to trends; & this New York spin on flannel is perfect for the everyday driven East Coaster.

Now it’s time for the West Coast Bohemian Babes….

As usual the West Coast took a bohemian & relaxed approach to the flannel trend.

& you have to love their commitment to casual.

Madewell stepped it up & brought back the “boyfriend flannel”. AKA overly baggy & ridiculously comfy shirts.

These shirts looking a little distressed & overly worn; keeps up with California’s fashion values of looking effortlessly look-key..

Keeping it chic & casual, flannel is essential for any Californian Girl.

So basically no matter your fashion zip code…the flannel trend is in & it’s time to invest.
