{ My favorite part of the trip was by far eating this pecan maple french toast }
{ We made a stop at graffiti park in Austin, it was artistic to say the least, I kind of want to bring Matt back along with a colorful can of spray paint }
That was a quick trip wasn’t it. I spent the weekend in Austin Texas with my mother, sister & brother and let’s just say it was emotionally interesting.
Apparently I’m a total space cadet because I thought Texas was going to be all about that southern lifestyle, but the joke was on me. To put it in my own words, Austin looked like a less pretty but way cheaper California.
So with my move right around the corner and my expectations of Texas way out of line, you could say that I had a full blow anxiety meltdown. I was like wait this isn’t what southern lifestyle should look like….
Sooooo after my first day meltdown wrapped up, I was able to spend the rest of my time in Austin checking out the local sites and surrounding towns.
I’m now even more eager to arrive in Dallas come August, I’ll be honest and say Austin wasn’t my vibe, so I’m really hoping Dallas and I are on the same page.
Anyway once I was able to do some deep breathing and relax, I really enjoyed my weekend getaway.
My family & I went to San Antonio, Waco to see Magnolia Market of course and ate at several delicious restaurants. I had to take most of these images with my iPhone, because oh my god the heat!!! It was way too hot to carry around my brick of a camera, so I’m going super casual with this post.
I want to keep you guys as in the loop as possible in terms of my emotions on moving. & if you guys want more updates on the move, let me know below & I’ll start sharing more details.
Currently I’m peaceful with the idea of moving and sooooooooo excited about the home decor part of moving. I’ve already purchased so many cute items and of course a few of them came from Magnolia Market, I couldn’t help myself.
Joanna Gaines is home decor goals.
Also how pretty is San Antonio, I was literally shocked how beautiful the riverwalk was. If you are ever in Texas I would highly recommend the car ride to San Antonio.
Finally if you like food well you better get on a plane and head to Texas because yes, everything was bigger and better in the food department. I share some of my favorite meals on instagram and I felt like Rolie Polie Olie by the end of the weekend, I swear my family had to roll me right onto the plane.
The food was just that good. Oh & it doesn’t help that ribs are literally my favorite food (oopsssss). Anyways I’m off to shoot some pictures for la blog today, and maybe go on a long walk to burn some of those ribs off, seriously though. xx A
