Sherpa Coats To Bundle Up In This Winter The Coastal Confidence Aubrey Yandow

For a while there I thought we were going to get through this winter without even a scatter of a storm. However, it looks like that’s going to change this week, as we hunker down for an estimated 18 inches of snow. Prior to the unanticipated blizzard, my Mom and I decided to play hooky on Thursday and head down to the shoreline, Noank to be exact, to grab some seafood, fresh air and enjoy the mild weather; before getting snowed in. With that being said, I always dress for warmth and alterability during New England winters, which is why I’ve basically been living in this sherpa coat

In fact, I’ve been wearing this jacket almost non-stop and when I decided to hop on Instagram Stories to give you guys an update, I saw the questions roll in about this cozy sherpa number. Long story short, I decided right then and there to just shoot a few photos in this look, luckily we had my camera in the car, and post the outfit details on the blog along with a few of my favorite sherpa coats to bundle up in, this winter.

I’ve realized time and time again, that oversized coats are the way to go come the harsh winter months of New England. I’ve also learned that oversized doesn’t have to mean frumpy, but rather can be a statement in and of itself. This year I’ve been wearing sherpa coats on repeat, as they’re not only warm and cozy to bundle up in, but are also oversized by nature. By purchasing an oversized sherpa coat like this one or this one here; allows you to thickly layer an outfit underneath while still looking put together.

Personally, I fell in love with the Free People Sherpa Coat featured above because of its button detailing. These tortoiseshell buttons show up stunningly against the cream sherpa color I ended up purchasing; and it’s details like that, that create a more tailored and professional look. So whether you’re running into your office building or running from designer meetings to a construction site like me, a sherpa coat to bundle up in this winter needs to be added to your wardrobe this winter.

On that note, I wish you all luck with this upcoming storm. Make sure to bundle up and get all your shopping in before New England transforms into a winter wonderland. Stay warm!
