Walking Walking & a little more Walking, has been the theme for this week. Florence’s main sights really aren’t that far apart from each other, so I have been taking Florence by foot & walking everywhere & to ever sight. However it is actually pretty cold out here so my outfits are a combo of heavy layers and scarfs. Give a girl a break & try to pardon the mix-matched attire (the cold struggle).

I am finally starting to feel comfortable here. I feel like I could walk to school & back without getting lost, & that is a big accomplishment in its self. Yet I am still dealing with figuring out the time change and sleeping patterns. Mama Mia to that. But feeling comfortable in a city, where asking directions can be a confusing & embarrassing interaction, is a blessing. & now I have a new talent of reading Italian maps & pretending I am not lost.

I love being a tourist & because I am actually here as a tourist, I am taking touristy things to a whole new level. Today I plan to just hide away in the Uffizi and do some much needed reading, sculpture looking & resting time. I’ll let ya know how that goes on Friday.

Have you ever been to Florence? If so where should I go? What should I eat? & How do I stay warm!
