It’s that time of year, again (sigh). Snow is everywhere and plenty. I woke up this morning to find a glorious eight inches piled high across my yard. Yet when the snow starts your life stops. Being snowed in is both wonderful and horrifying at the same time. I am a big doer. I love doing things and going places; so when the snow hits and I am not allowed to leave my room (crying) I always stay prepared! Here are my 5 snow day (survival) activitiesImage

1) Go for a walk in the snow. Nothing will tire you out faster than a walk in the snow. Walking in the snow is like running in the sand. With the added friction you will burn double the calories in the same mileage (Go us)!

2) Go online shopping! After Christmas Deals are in their prime; so hit up the coupons and sit down and scourge the internet for deals. Who knows, you may end up with the boots you have always wanted, for 50% off (amen)!

3) Grab a book! I am always hesitant about reading, especially since I have to do so much reading during school. Yet grabbing a chick flick novel or a Twilight like romantic book (aw) will always pass the time along.

4) Rent a movie and grab a special someone (<3). Nothing passes time like a movie marathon. Yet if you bring a friend along you will feel less like a couch potato and more like a social butterfly.

5) Cook! I never have time to cook or try new recipes but with nowhere to go and nowhere to be (yikes), cooking seems like a great substitution. Search for some new recipes and bring out your inner Barefoot Contessa.

Stay Confident and Warm!
