Rush; The name of the dreadful process of being chosen into a sorority. The name describes the process perfectly its one HUGE RUSH. From a rush of emotions to a rushed schedule; Rush Week was 100% the most stressful week of my college experience. So people wonder why RUSH if its that painful

But sometimes the hardest moments in life are the most rewarding experiences; and Rushing is one of those experiences for me. I was able to bond with my friends, I met around 300 girls in one week, and I was placed into a sorority that I love and adore.

A good thing to remember when considering if you should rush is…Everyone joins sororities for different reasons: social, leadership opportunities, friendships, and community. I was hesitant about joining and was even hesitant once I was a member but your sorority will give back to you what ever you are desiring. So if you are feeling lost at college or feel your college is lacking something look into the process of Rush. By Rushing I was able to  get out of my comfort zone and feel a sense of belonging on my in California. Rushing was the most nerve-racking decision I made but it was probable also the best decision I made. I rushed because I wanted to find a community I felt connected to within my school; by being apart of my sorority I have found my home in CaliforniaSo if you are ever pondering if you should RUSH, do it!

Because let me tell you; The Wait is Worth the Rush
