Oh the concept of a carry-on. Carry-on luggage either breaks you or makes you, literally sometimes my carry-on bag is to heavy to even do the carrying part. 

Okay so the carry-on concept was completely invented by a lady, for the following reasons: 1) it’s brilliant ( duh, it’s basically a free luggage ) & 2) It allows me to leave no item of clothing behind ( amen ). 

Every girl knows it is hard to travel, & traveling from CT to CA for college, is like the death of me sometimes, all the time. 

Somehow, I know I’ll forget to bring that one gray sweater, that I haven’t worn in a month, but all of a sudden can’t live without. That actually happens to me allll the time, & it ends up being such a struggle ( even though it shouldn’t be )! So when it comes to jamming everything in my suitcase. I always put the most sacred of clothing items in my carry-on. 

1st off ALWAYS, pack at least one outfit in your carry-on ( god forbid your luggage gets lost, this will be your only survival! ). Below was the emergency outfit I packed just in case my enormous duffle of a luggage, didn’t make the plane. 

Basically keep it simple, easy & classic. & make sure the outfit that you choose is appropriate for all occasions ( so don’t pack your favorite mini skirt & tube top, leave that for the duffel, trust me ).  

I always pack jeans, a few T-shirts, underwear ( just in case ) & of course socks. The daily essentials as I said earlier. 

But really carry-ons are the only way, I am able to look halfway normal while traveling. Also, super important to pack all your jewelry & anything that has great value to you in your carry-on. Just in case your luggage goes MIA forever or walks off with a new BFF. I always pack my precious items along side me, cause you never know. Anyways what do you college ladies pack in your carry-on? I know a lot of us travel far far away for college, so how do you make it work? I’m all about packing my daily essentials & favorite clothing items, but how do you strategize? 

& Ladies ( super important ) invest in a good carry-on. This little gem will be by your side for a longgggg time. So respect & invest (although that is always my shopping mantra ).
