Scallop-Hem Cape || Turtleneck || Navy Loafer Mules || Red Lips
The other day my Mom and I headed out Draghi Farms to stock up on mistletoe kissing balls and holly covered wreaths for our front door. Within the last week, I’ve seen my little New England town go from corn stocks decorated lampposts to boxwood garland entries in a blink of an eye. New Englanders really go full steam ahead when it comes to decorating with wreaths this holiday season. Whether you are sticking a wreath on each window, door or gate; a lot of New England colonial homes are decked to the tee with holiday greens and velvet ribbons.
Once my Mom and I saw wreaths going up we knew we had to head out to Draghi Farms sooner rather than later. We were presently surprised when we arrived at Draghi Farms with the amount of variety and sizes available at the farm stand. We ended up grabbing the kissing ball showcased below along with a pinecone flocked wreath, to hang in our entryway. When I heard we were heading out to go wreath shopping I knew I had to wear this scallop hem cape, I’ve had my eye on it all holiday season but held off wearing it until we finally reached December. Now that it’s the first of December, I pretty much will be wearing this baby non-stop; not only is it chic but it is really warm and cozy.
I would recommend pairing it with red lips, a navy turtleneck, and navy glitter mules. Whether you are attending a holiday concert, work party or heading out with your family to cut down your Christmas tree; this cape will be sure to rack you up some compliments.
After hanging the wreaths my Mom and I decided to run around town and capture some of the amazing colonial homes for you all. If you don’t follow me on Instagram you need to start following me now, because a lot of decked out homes are coming to the platform soon. Nothing brings me more joy and inspiration than seeing how my fellow neighbors decorate their homes. It’s something I get giddy for year after year.
We soon felt the afternoon drag, especially now that it gets dark out so early, so before heading back my Mom and I stopped at Starbucks to grab a latte and a little energy boost for the work to come. We’ve been non-stop shooting holiday content for this last week and I can’t wait to share the work we’ve been passionately creating for you all.
I’d love to hear what inspires you guys to decorate this holiday season! Leave a comment below and I’ll see you all back here on Monday for a delicious post you won’t want to miss. xx Aubrey
