Stocking stuffers are my favorite gifts to shop for during this jolly time of year. They don’t hold the pressures and expectations of a traditional gift. Plus, it’s an opportunity to get extra creative!
I have to say, my Mom always did a great job at picking stocking stuffers. She usually mixed the necessities – new beauty blenders, socks, and Nespresso pods – in with something fun like lottery tickets or a box of candy.
With Matt and I celebrating our first Christmas in our home, I’m really excited to carry over my fond holiday memories and excitement of opening stocking stuffers by the fireplace.
Here are small gift ideas, under $50, to help you fill the stocking of your loved ones this holiday:
This is a go-to suggestion for anyone stuck on what to get any woman. Whether it’s a secret Santa event, a sister who is hard to shop for, or your significant other – this gift is both useful and personal. Plus, it can be monogrammed! A Travel Jewelry Case is usually $62, but all through the holiday season, you’ll see it on sale for close to $50.

The one item I get in my stocking every year that I can’t help but look forward to is an Old World Ornament. My Mom would gift each of us an ornament that reflected a piece of our personality, interest, or accomplishment from the year. From dance shoes to graduation caps my Mom started an ornament collection for each of us early on which made decorating our first Christmas tree that much more special. You can see a few of my favorite ornaments by Old World Ornament here, here, and here.
I love gifting headband, hair clips, and accessories because you can never have enough! While I’m obsessed with this Pearl Headband, this gem headband and this gold sparkly one; I’ve gone ahead and listed a few other options I’m currently loving here, here and here. If headbands aren’t your thing – try these pearl hairclips.
One of my favorite things to put in stockings for both men & women is skincare and facial products. Whether it’s fun and festive like Fenty’s Glossy Bomb Lip Set or more practical like my favorite skincare trio or this sheet mask care set – everyone can agree beauty products are a great way to fill your significant other’s stocking with premium brands.

Great stocking stuffers start with the stocking! As children, my Mom purchased my siblings and me these needlepoint stockings with our names embroidered on each. Recently, Matt and I purchased our own pair for our new home.
By far one of my most used items of 2019 is this Yeti Rambler Cup. This tumbler is great for everything hot or cold on-the-go. I love my Yeti so much I wish it came in more colors. If you’re stuck on what to get someone – a Yeti cup is perfect!
I love getting games in my stocking. Last year, my mom got my siblings and me this cubebot toy, which we would hide on each other in our shared bathroom to scare each other. Games are fun! So, when I saw a company was selling the vintage edition of infamous boardgames in sophisticated bookshelf storage designs, I picked one up for each of my siblings. My top picks are Monopoly, Yahtzee, and my all-time favorite game – Clue!
No stocking is complete without the classic pair of socks. I appreciate getting socks as gifts, especially if they’re holiday-themed. Kiel James Patrick makes the cutest holiday socks. But, if you’re looking to get a large quantity I’d check out these Smartwool socks – they’re super thick and great to pair with Bean Boots!
