This past week my mother & I headed out to Rose’s Berry Farm in South Glastonbury CT, to pick my favorite summer fruit, raspberries! YUM!
I’m literally addicted to them, I could eat about one pint a day of just raspberries, they are my go to summer snack (if you were wondering).
Thank goodness, it’s finally berry season here in CT so took full advantage of it & headed out to the farm, to get those berries.
Some of you may think berry picking is a yawn butttttttt if you are looking for a instagram cute date activity wellllll, then get on those blue jeans and plop on that hat because you and your significant other are hitting the fields. Soooo Matt I’m taking you next time.
Anyway once the pictures were over, my mother & I collected about 4 pints of raspberries! We used those berries to make my mother’s famous raspberry pound cake. If you guys are interested in that recipe, let me know below in the comments.
So as you all know, I’m moving to Dallas! I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your sweet comments, they truly made my night. I can’t wait to explore a new place with you y’all (just kidding I’ll forever use, ‘you guys’ like a true New Englander).
But until the big move happens in August, I’ll be taking in every moment of New England. Including berry picking (of course). Also I hear blueberries are in season, soooooo you bet I’ll be headed back to the berry farm this week. Who wants to come!?!
Total side note but, I’m currently obsessed with skin protection! Call me a grandma, but these days I’m not leaving the house without a baseball cap or this panama hat. The reason why? Well my reasoning mostly has to do with makeup.
I feel like my makeup just disappears in the hot summer sun, sooooo I love covering my face to protect the art that is my makeup & of course my skin.
I’m hoping this is one of those trends that leaves me with beautiful skin. But honestly who knows.
Just make sure to wear your sunscreen ladies, it’s important trust me. xx A.
