I take my dress purchases very seriously and I often invest in pieces I know I’ll wear in my day to day life. With that being said, I usually find myself purchasing shift dresses, shirt dresses, and the occasional statement dress to have on hold come special events. Now since I wear statement dresses the least amount, I’m always hesitant about investing in a piece and often wait until they go on sale, to pull the trigger. So you can only imagine how excited I was when I saw this darling halter neck fit and flare dress go on sale for just $88!
Personally, I often resonate my style with the classic cuts of the 60’s, I like the iconic structure of the fit and flare. You’ve actually seen me style a few fit and flare dresses this summer, like this dress but what really sold this dress for me, was the really modern halter neck feature. Not only does the neckline make this dress unique it also makes it appropriate for more formal events like; weddings, cocktail events, and formal sorority recruitment for you college ladies.
I decided to take this dress for a spin this past weekend for a family function. I paired it with these Mary Jane heels and cat-eye sunglasses to pull together the vintage-inspired look. Now, whenever I head to a family soiree, I never like to show up empty-handed; which is why I love bringing flowers to style for the hostess. I usually head to Whole Foods and purchase a seasonal flower on the way to the event, it’s a little tradition of mine. Right now, New England residents know that both hydrangeas and sunflowers are in season, and I usually end up purchasing whichever flower looks best. Sunflowers are in peak season this week making them super affordable and just gorgeously colored.
All and all, I hope you guys take advantage of the current summer dresses on sale as we start to transition into fall wear. Alongside this halter neck dress, I also purchased this dress, this dress, and this number. I’ve linked some additional dresses you can transition into fall below and I can’t wait to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend has in store for us.

Love this dress! I think it’d be a really great choice for a less formal bridesmaid dress!
