When you work from home, maintaing a dress code can be…well, tricky.
For instance yesterday, it was 48 outside and rainy so I wore my coziest sweatpants and got to work on some mundane behind the scenes tasks. So I got up to put some tea on and realized it’s already 2:00, making me feel like a total hobo for staying in sweats all day.
Blah, so I hopped in the shower, blew out my hair, added some light makeup and zipped into a chic ensemble.
Instant mood changer.
I’ll be honest and say, I probably end up in yoga pants or pajama bottoms at least once a week, hard to prevent especially during these cold, brisk months. But I always do my best work when I’m dressed the best. Anyone else agree?
Since Matt’s always counting down the days till Jean Friday, I decided to embrace Jean Friday In The TCC Office. Now every Friday I get up, put on my blue jeans and experiment with different looks.
This look was inspired by the 60’s think Marylin Monroe top, Jackie O sunglasses and red lips for all.
I actually purchased this top, not knowing it was a crop top. I’ll be honest, I was slightly sad when I tried it on and saw how cropped it was (I would 100% recommend sizing up) buttttttt it was Jean Friday, so I decided to be a little adventurous.
Matt literally thought someone held me against my will to put that top on, totally not me and totally out of the box, #TGIF!
& like every Friday Matt & I headed out in our jeans to pick me up a Trenta Black Tea Lemonade (two Splenda) and to enjoy the unusually warm Dallas weather.
So we are off, and I’m excited for this weekend because my family is actually in town. I’m going to share the best of Dallas with them and hopefully share some glimpses with you all over on instagram stories!
Have a safe and happy weekend xx Aubrey.
