Dress (old, similar listed) || Sunglasses || Shoes (on sale!!!)

Hello from Austin Texas, well the Austin airport if that still counts. I’m currently heading back to good ole New England. I had so much fun in Texas and I can’t wait to recap my trip with you all on Wednesday so get ready for that.

As I start preparing for my big move, to what Matt calls ‘The BIG D’ aka Dallas, I hope to share as much of the move, transition and experience with you all as possible. The blog will still stay true to its New England roots but get excited for some Texas lifestyle here and there.

I’ll also be your local Texas travel guide, sooooo if there are any places you want me to check out for you, please let me know in the comments, but for now let’s jump right into this New England staple…the classic striped dress 

Okay so let’s talk about the striped dress, & why I believe it’s an essential item for everyones’ closet, but especially if you are a New Englander. Stripes are kind of like a hidden New England uniform, we all wear them & we all love them.

It’s that simple. Oh and stripes aren’t just a summer thing, they are a all year thing! As I start combing through my wardrobe and deciding what makes the cut to Dallas and what must stay in the New England warehouse, I realized that 1) I own soooo many striped things & 2) everyone should invest in stripes.

You guys it’s a classic look that NEVER goes out of style soooooo what are you waiting for. I’ve linked some of my favorite striped items currently on sale here & here.

One of my favorite things about summer time in New England is getting to see the hydrangeas bloom. Nothing beats it. The vibrant color & affordable cost make it my ideal table setting for every summer event I throw.

Also they are basically as New England as it gets. Almost every front yard on Groton Long Point is filled to the rim with hydrangeas. So once I see the hydrangeas blooming I know we are in the heat of a perfect New England summer.
