Okay, here we go! Today I’m starting a new tradition on the TCC, so get ready.
I usually do Serendipity posts here and there, where I recap my latest thoughts, feelings, and happenings. However starting today, I’ll be doing a serendipity post, basically a life recap, at the start of every month.
Think of it as a way for us to sit down and get the details on what’s going on in our lives.
& let’s both admit that these posts because it’s all about the details right! Okay, let’s jump right into the recap and scroll down to the bottom for the life recap!

LIFE RECAP:
February was an interesting month for me, to say the least, but in a good way. The month was jam packed with events.
Matt & I kicked off the month by going to the Super Bowl! My dad and I actually surprised Matt with the tickets and you can see his whole reaction here. The whole trip to Houston was incredible. The energy of the people and the comradery of the New England fans really made the trip one to remember. We jammed so much into that weekend that the following week, both Matt & I had a wicked cold.
The following weekend my whole entire family came to visit for a week! We visited my favorite Texas Couple, Joanna, and Chip Gaines, obviously. We drove down to Magnolia Farms in Waco.
Once again, I walked out the door with way too many floral arrangements, but I have literally no regrets. We also stopped at the Silo Bakery and let’s just say YUM! The cupcakes were soooo good, I even purchased an extra half dozen to bring back to my apartment, because you can never have too many cupcakes on hand.
Finally last weekend Matt & I spent Saturday shooting March content and Sunday seeing the Bruins play hockey in Dallas. To be honest, hockey is actually one of my favorite sports to watch and it was my first time at an NHL game, some many firsts this February.
First time visiting Houston, going to a Superbowl, eating a cupcake at Magnolia Farms and my first time attending an NHL game. Basically, February was about spending money on experiences and not things.
So while I accomplished a lot this month, all the action and traveling ended up leaving me with a sense of being unorganized and always behind. I felt like I was always shooting next week’s content last minute due to our hectic schedule, and I HATED THAT!
I’m just not the last moment person. Actually, I’m the opposite of that, I’m that person that arrives everywhere 10 minutes way too early, so feeling behind and unorganized was putting a damper on my overall mood. So Matt & I started working with a local Dallas photographer to help shoot some of our content, which has been a blessing, to say the least.
While Matt & I love shooting our own images, because let’s face it I’m a control freak, having a photographer help us out with 4-8 shots really allowed us to get ahead and produce even more content for you all.
We are even going to be relaunching our Sunday Newsletter, from here on out the TCC Weekly newsletter will be focused around blogging/business tips. So make sure to subscribe here if you’re interested in some Sunday motivation!
I guess February tought me that you literally can’t do it all, and while dedicating can feel scary, uncomfortable and out of your control; sometimes our best work comes from outside our comfort zone.
