Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, everyone was looking preppy & that even includes the mouse.
You guys, it’s Christmas Eve! I’m so excited for tonight, Matt & I spent all yesterday wrapping presents, watching claymation Christmas movies, and going to the mall (we actually ended up going twice!). Gift giving is my favorite part of the holiday, so yesterday was dedicated to checking our lists twice and picking up those last few things.
Tis the busiest time of year, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Matt & I are currently all dressed up for tonight’s festivities, and are heading out to our favorite breakfast place, Ken’s Corner. What better way to kick off the holiday than with raspberry pancakes
Okay when it comes to Christmas in Connecticut we go preppy & plaid. I try to reserve my plaid attire just for the holidays, I feel like it’s the iconic style of Christmas movies (think White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut & It’s a Wonderful Life; all the women wear plaid skirts). Oh & not to mention plaid looks sooooo cute in photos.
When Matt & I found this matching wool skirt & sweater combo at Brook’s Brothers we knew we had our Christmas Eve attire! Matching outfits are kind of my thing, and surprisingly Matt didn’t resist, he actually loved the sweater. We call it his Harvard Holiday get-up, hahaha.
