I am going to be brutally honest here and say….thank god I have friends that can cook.
Basically when it comes to the kitchen & I, it is more of a, “pop things in the microwave” situation. So when I was feeling deprived of the fall, I invited my Sorority “Fam” (cheesy I know) over to cook.
& thank god Shelby could cook. Because if she had not come…well, let’s just say the apples would not look like this:
yummm
Okay but let’s talk for a second about how messy caramel apples are.
Please never ever ever get a caramel apple when you are on a first date. I had Kathryn literally pulling caramel out of my hair.
Yes I did get caramel in my hair…but it happens a lot, sadly.
I just don’t know how, but caramel just get’s everywhere & it has a sneaky mind of its own.
Sometimes College can be so meh. & you just kind of forget about doing fun things like baking.
& instead of constantly being a bookworm (eww), you have to just screw studying and take a break.
So typically enough, my favorite “college breaks” always involves my friends & some food ( but really ).
& we totally got a little creative with our caramel apples!
( & I refuse to show you a picture of my apple. As it looks like someone was trying to torture the poor little guy).
So sorry baby apple.
Anyways…
My friends’ apples look So Good….right!!
Ugh, I totally recommend getting your girlfriends together and just laying it all out on the kitchen table.
& as usual, bring some chit chat to exchange.
Sooooo….what is your favorite fall dessert? Spill, I know you have one!
xx.
