When it comes to the fall season, people tend to go a little to Pumpkin Spice Latte crazy.
But Forget the Pumpkin Spice Lattes!! Fall is the perfect time for food lovers.
You know I am right…just think carmel apples, pumpkin pies & Thanksgiving.
Typically fall, is a time for apple this & apple that...so I tried to mix it up this week & got a little crazy with Pumpkin.
Yesterday I was strolling through my Pinterest & saw an overwhelming amount of fall food items. & after seeing countless recipes I went for it & tried this recipe out!
& it was literally epic.
C’mon, how good do those cookies look from above…..so good!
SO…..I am in no way, a “skilled baker”. Actually I am kind of a hot mess when it comes to baking.
So for me it’s important to lay out everything I need. Embarrassingly enough I have actually starting recipes & realized halfway through that I needed 1/4 cup of something I did not have. Struggles.
So 1st step is always laying everything out onto the table.
Once I am a 100% sure I am ready to go, I mix all the dry supplies in a bowl (flour, baking soda, salt & spices) and the supplies that will be wet ( melted butter, the sugars, vanilla extract, & pumpkin) in a second bowl.
Finally I combined the two bowls together until it looked like this:
I popped these into the oven @ 350 for 10 min & they were spot on!
I let them chill for 20 min & then they were ready for some taste testing!
Basically Fall is a great opportunity to switch up our food & try new things.
From watermelon, ice cream trucks, & strawberry salads in the summer, too hot coffees & soup in the fall; it’s just fun to jump into a season, especially when it involves food.
So anyone have any favorite seasonal foods, that they are just dying to get their hands on??
