Tray || Dish (similar) || Strawberry Container || Whip Cream Bowl || My 4th of July Outfit

Okay every holiday kind of has its own dessert going for it. Christmas = gingerbread cookies, Thanksgiving = pumpkin pie & Fourth of July = strawberry shortcakes.

Nothing is better than a fresh New England strawberry shortcake on the upcoming holiday weekend. Strawberry season is right now, so local strawberries are everywhere, I even challenge you to go out there & pick your own strawberries for this dessert.

All you need is about two pints of strawberries, some fresh biscuits & a LOT of whipped cream (& I mean a lot, it’s the best part, don’t be cheap!).

I had a stunning change of plans for this weekend. I was suppose to be spending it with Matt in New Hampshire but instead I’ll be home celebrating with my entire family!

I’m super excited especially for the Middletown Fireworks show on Friday! I’m taking my boat down with a few family members to see the fireworks light up the sky. & you bet I’ll be eating strawberry shortcake throughout the whole thing.
